Developmental Editing

Developmental editing is the beginning of editing your story. It looks at your manuscript as a whole, focusing on improving your story’s pace, structure, narrative style, plot holes, perspective, and organization. This is an intensive and in-depth process, in which parts may be removed, added, or reorganized.

Line Editing

Line editing focuses on improving sentence structure. It removes clichés, awkward phrasings, checks for consistency in your style, and improves clarity and readability.

Copy Editing

Copy editing is the last stage of editing. Sometimes called proofreading, copy editing looks at your manuscript’s grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Methods of Payment

I understand how money can be tight and am willing to work with your budget. Confidentiality is of the highest importance to me, and so payment will only be discussed with individual authors. All prices will be in USD.

Time frame

Most manuscript editing takes 3-4 weeks, depending on length and availability. An exact time will be agreed upon between myself and you.

Contract

Before any project, the Editor (me) and the Author (you) will sign a contract detailing services, payment, and time frame, to ensure both parties (us) understand all of the agreement.
